Apart from the workshops you can also stay in Tunbung Art Village for other occasions, experience the places spirit and discover the southern coastal area of the Gambia. Here you are surrounded by the places creative atmosphere and its nature. There is the chicken’s cackle, birds singing and the crickets chirp and when it becomes night you feel no electrical light disturbs this. Live in one of the unique designed mud houses, they are all equipped with mosquito nets, cerosin lamps and buckets for the well water. The Tujering beach (~ ½ h walk) Tugering village (next shops, ~10mins walk) The colorful fishing village Tanji (~10mins by bush taxi) The Senegambia area (touristy place with restaurants, bars etc. ~1hour by bush taxi) Nature reserves, such as the Tanji bird reserve and the bijilo nature reserve
